In over 30 years, Somalia has suffered from a civil war that has left many institutions and structures shattered. This has also caused lots of poverty among the common man, making them unable to afford even the basic human needs such as health and education. Often, people spent most of their time in fear of tomorrow and could hardly farm or engage in any economic activities or even education. This has left many people economically challenged
\nand less educated. Thus the need for inexpensive health care services.
\nThe World Health Organization reported that access to, and quality of health care in Somalia remains inadequate to meet the needs of the population. In addition, health services are unequally distributed, with vast areas completely deprived of basic health care. There are only 39 qualified doctors per one million inhabitants, mainly concentrated in urban ar eas and only 141 qualified midwives, It further recommended that there is an urgent need to
\ngradually increase access to basic health care by expanding and scaling up primary health care, targeting the most under-served areas. (WHO, 2007, WHO 2011).
